Independence
This is a Ply Yard site (Mines Online), not Microsoft Minesweeper. We implement the common minefield grid puzzle with our own design, code, and branding.
What you can do on the home page
- Classic minefield: Open cells, flag mines, and read number clues; mines reshuffle each round.
- Three sizes: Beginner 9×9, intermediate 16×16, expert 30×16.
- Timer and mine counter: Timing starts on your first open; flags update the mines-left count.
- Hints and history: Reveal one safe cell when stuck and track personal bests per preset.

Where data lives
Best times, recent summaries, and preferences stay in this browser. Clearing site data removes them. Server-side logging is described in the Privacy Policy.
What we do not offer
- Accounts, login, or cross-device synced leaderboards.
- Multiplayer rooms or live opponents.
